Salam Merdeka & Hari Malaysia

The last 31st August , Malaysia celebrated it's 53rd independence day. Although Tanah Melayu reached it's independence in 1957, it is not until 1963 Malaysia was given it's name. On the 16th of September fourty-seven years ago, Sabah and Sarawak join forces with Persekutuan Tanah Melayu to form what is known now as Malaysia.

In conjunction with Merdeka celebration and Hari Raya promotion, I was invited to conduct cake demonstrations at Mesra Mall, Kerteh.  So with the opportunity given, I made this cake during my recent cake demonstration last month.

Enjoy the pictures and to all Malaysian out there, Happy Malaysia Day and have a good holiday!

Cupcakes Aidilfitri

I'm guessing most people still in Raya mood due to the long holiday so salam Aidilfitri and happy holiday to all.

During recent Hari Raya celebration, I made these cupcakes for my brother, who ordered it for the staff of Sungai Buloh Hospital who were working on 1st Syawal (the first day of Hari Raya).

They are my simple vanilla butter cupcakes, top-off with vanilla buttercream and ready-to-roll fondant icing decorations.

Salam Aidilfitri

Busy busy busy... I really felt that this year time fly by really fast!
So many things I need to juggle with my hands.

The sudden news about my husband transferred to KL just make my life feels like topsy-turvy right now! We thought we are going to move to KL in October but with short notice my husband were called to report for work early August!!!

Alhamdulillah we already found a house but we can only move in after Hari Raya. For the time being we are staying in a service residence. So I kinda feel like my family and I are floating around and definitely we are not yet settle down. Raya is just around the corner but I am not excited; not to be able to cook as usual, bake cookies for Raya, bake cakes and cupcakes and what not.

Excited or not, I just want to wish my family and friends and every muslims around the world a happy blessed Eidulfitri ! Maaf zahir & batin !

Timmy Time Cupcakes

Happy 6th birthday to Faris!
I hope Faris had a great time celebrating his birthday with teachers and friends at school.

These cupcakes ordered by Kak Noraniah from Kerteh for her son's birthday. Since her son, Faris, love the cartoon character, Little Timmy she requested for Timmy Time theme cupcakes. So I made for her these simple designs.

My daughters  and I love the new series, Timmy Time too; showing at the Playhouse Disney Channel. The characters are all cute & adorable. You just got to love them!

So here are pictures of my Timmy Time theme cupcakes. Enjoy!
